A contemporary expressive portrait of a woman whose identity is deliberately left partly concealed. Her direct gaze creates an immediate connection with the viewer, while the fragmented symbols covering her clothing suggest an unseen personal language — thoughts, memories and messages that remain open to interpretation. The palette of lavender, pink, black, yellow and orange gives the work a bold, fashion-inspired graphic quality, while the loose, visible brushwork preserves a sense of spontaneity and imperfection. The title Guess Girl becomes part of the artwork itself. The viewer can see her, but cannot completely know her. You can look at her. You can interpret her. But can you guess her?
Sometimes it takes only one look. A particular expression, a glance, something in the eyes — and suddenly someone's image stays in your imagination. You don't necessarily know anything about her. You simply notice the look. This girl had that look. She caught my attention and sparked my imagination, and I wanted to capture that fleeting moment — not necessarily who she was, but the impression she left behind. The face is deliberately surrounded by colour, symbols and fragmented marks, representing the thoughts and possibilities that can begin running through your mind when someone unexpectedly captures your attention. And that's where the title comes from: Guess Girl. You can see her. You can wonder about her. You can imagine her story. But ultimately, you have to guess.
