Privacy policy

Hans Rooseboomrespects your privacy and handles your personal information in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
Only what we need: your email address if you join the studio letter; your name, email and delivery address when you place an order; any reference photograph and details you send with a commission enquiry; and basic, non-identifying usage data that helps the site run.
How we use it
To process and deliver your order, to reply to your enquiries, and — only if you opted in — to send occasional news about new work. We do not sell your information, and we do not send marketing you didn't ask for.
Payments
Card payments are handled by our payment providers — Payfast (South Africa) and Stripe (international). Your card details are entered on their secure pages and are never seen or stored by this site.
Who we share it with
Only the services needed to fulfil your order: the payment provider, the courier that delivers your work, and the tools we use to store data and send email. Each handles your information on our behalf and is not permitted to use it for anything else.
Your rights
Under POPIA you may ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, and you may unsubscribe from the studio letter at any time. To make any of these requests, email hello@hansrooseboom.art.
Retention
We keep order records for as long as we are legally required to, and keep newsletter details only until you unsubscribe.
