Lollipop

Lollipop is a playful yet intimate exploration of sensuality, desire and the power of suggestion. The figure is presented through loose, expressive lines and unexpected blocks of yellow, violet, green and pink. Rather than describing the body realistically, the painting breaks it into fragments of colour and gesture, allowing the viewer's imagination to complete the image. The close embrace and the suggestion of a lollipop introduce a mischievous duality—the innocent and the provocative existing in the same moment. The result is sensual without needing to be explicit.
Lollipop comes from my fascination with the space between innocence and temptation. Sometimes an ordinary object, a gesture or a glance can take on an entirely different meaning when desire enters the picture. I wanted to capture that playful moment when the imagination takes over—where colour, body language and suggestion say more than a literal image ever could. The loose, almost sketch-like treatment keeps the work spontaneous, as though the moment was caught before it disappeared. Lollipop is about temptation disguised as playfulness.
